Rebirth of the Uzanto website….
The Uzanto website has undergone a complete metamorphosis. This was in the offing for a while but kept on getting pushed down our priority list simply because we wanted to steam ahead with the MindCanvas launch. The earlier website was not something that we could be proud of; it was essentially a dump of hurriedly put together textual content.
The new site has been carefully thought through; its built on Wordpress and features a blog (UzBlog), apart from the typical stuff that you would find on every corporate website.
The relaunch of the site has also given us an opportunity to think through a positioning tagline for Uzanto. So Uzanto is all about ‘web product strategy‘. This was not easy to articulate or verbalize. We gave a good, hard look at ourselves in the mirror and tried to understand, what our competencies & capabilities were in the context of the web2.0 environment.
While our core work area is user experience/usability (as related to web products like websites & internet applications), we have been successful in building up other capabilities as well. Our research product, MindCanvas gives us the capability to do quick, remote, no-nonsense user research (in the domain of information architecture, understanding user needs/wants and positioning products/brands). Additionally, we are well positioned to help clients understand how rich internet applications (using AJAX/Flash) can add value to their business and build initial designs/prototypes.
The term ‘web product strategy‘ seems to capture all dimensions of our current capabilities; what it tells customers is that Uzanto, (through its basket of research, design & consulting services) can help them craft their web product strategy for next generation internet applications.
Specifically, the basket of services we offer are christened as -
User Experience Consulting
user experience that means business !!!

Web Product Conceptualization & Design
do it right the first time !!!

MindCanvas: Remote Customer Research
understanding the mind for better design !!!

Rich Interfaces Consulting
the right technology for the right interface !!!
So if you haven’t already, please check it out; let us know how we could improve it….

Hi Amit,
Nice to hear from you. I have been following your blog for quite some time now; liked your post about the Naukri & Bixee case.
Ours is a discount retail chain in rural India. We intend to make the rural distribution channels efficient, bringing value to the end customer and hence gain share. You have been in retailing for long - so you know what I am talking about.
These are surely exciting times in India. Let us all move!
All the best to you, and Uzanto.
Animesh.
